Yesterday I have a bad hiccup like for half an hour. Normally if I drink water, it'll go away. This time is the worst. So I go online and search for remedy. The first thing I read is to plug my ear with finger and swallow water/saliva. Immediately my hiccup stop. OMG. It's so magical that I cannot believe it. LOLOLOLOLOL

The setting up of the ‘Kelab Jaguh’ aims to give aid to the people of Pasir Mas, Kelantan who are residing outside the state, especially in terms of education and welfare.

Puad said there were also other non-governmental organisations fighting for their respective causes, but they were not labelled as racist by others.

Meanwhile at a media conference later, Puad said accusations hurled by certain quarters that Umno was a racist party and that it was one of the factors for the drop in the percentage of Chinese votes, was not right.

He said it happened because of racial issues raised by DAP.

I remember during the 90s, everyone is crazy about miniaturization of handphone. In 1999, during the pinnacle of phone miniaturization, Nokia came out with model 8210 and it was the de facto coolest phone at that time. Everyone was spotted with one.

I'm the odd one out. Even though I can afford to buy it, but I instead opt for the largest screen at that time and got myself Nokia 7110. It was almost look like Matrix banana phone (Nokia 8110).

But nowaday, people start to behaving like me. Getting the biggest screen size they can get. Am I living ahead of people?

How to clean E-P1 sensor tutorial

Today, I just have time to clean my sensor. I was thinking that why E-P1 with its all mighty SSWF cannot dislodge the dust. I open up the lens and look inside. I can see the dust alright. I think of few ways that I know. Example is using blower. This method I've used before with my Canon 40D to blow off dust from my focus screen. But I end up with more dust. This is probably the blower is cheap one and have a lot of dust inside the blower.

Another way that I always heard is lens pen. I don't have it. I thought of crazy stuff like using my finger. Haha. Or maybe a cotton swab. I still scared I end up worse than I start with. Suddenly, I think of using my hair. Because its thin enough. I go to bathroom and cut my hair. I wash it with soap and water. Dry it up with cloth. Then I make a circle with the hair (you just need to put the hair between your thumb and index finger and make a shape like hanging man rope).

Use that tips of the circle to touch and dislodge the dust. It actually works and I'm freaking happy that I don't have to send it back to Olympus to do sensor cleaning.

When I reach Avago for night work, I was a bit down with flu and terrible headache. Staring at flu and panadol leftover on my desk, I quickly grab a hot water with green tea bag and down one tablet each. After 1 hour or less, I become energetic (even though on the Piriton label have the word "sleepy").

Now that's what I called the great drug concoction. I always have this flu condition that follow with sore throat. Sometimes, it comes with headache. I really recommend this type of combination to get instant relieve from flu and headache. Plus, you will not get sore throat later due to end of flu condition.

I salute the person who found and created Panadol and Piriton.

Its an enjoyable movie. Eye candies are great. Some people go watch this movie in 3d to better immerse into the world of Pandora. A lot of surround insects, animals, or plants are computer created. The creature which resemble a human is called Navi (above image) are created using motion capture.

Basically the storyline is nothing special. Human controlling robot or creature. It was done umpteenth times. Human help to save other's planet does not score any unique storyline award because it was done before too. But the beautifully created world and good direction (by Titanic director, James Cameron) really give this movie a boost.

This is a must see movie before the year 2009 end.

Storm Warriors II : Review

A lot of bad comment/review on this movie. Me as fan of the first movie go into the cinema with low expectation. And I find that I do like this movie although I feel empty after watching it. The first movie was fine and storyline is good. But in the second one, I just feel like watching fighting scene without any storyline. But its cool though.

Its really easy to sum it up. They fight. They lose. They learn. They fight again. They win.

The fighting scene is really copied from the movie "300". Dark and comic like surrounding. Slow-mo.

And got one part where E-kin Cheng turn to evil is copied from the Spiderman 3 movie.

Basically its just a fun ride and does its job of creating eye candy beautifully. Since I'm a fan of this movie, I still give it a average review instead of a bad one.

Stupid hex2dec function in excel (can confuse blank space in front)

If you point your number to a cell reference, it supposed to convert hex to dec for you. But if there's a space in front of the hex number, then you'll get error. This is ridiculous. I need to get rid of the space before it'll convert the hex number correctly.

When I was studying in Form 4 or 5, which is the year of 1995, there's a boot crazed among guys... yes, guys... Everyone was walking with a boot much much bigger than their leg. And so, I was also part of admirer of boots.

So during working part time in Kerry's Supermarket in 1997, there's a sales and I feel there's a boot that I like very much. I think I might like the brand more. And the cost is RM2xx ... its the probably one of the most expensive shoes I've got myself before I really working. Even nowaday, I seldom buy shoes more expensive than RM100.

And here is the boot that I bought but seldom wear.... (coz its heavy and seems like overkill)

Real solution to disable activesync in Windows Mobile and PC

In Windows mobile, use the fake server method:
1. Tap the menu tab/soft key and tap "Add Server Source"
2. Configure a server source with a dummy IP address, user id, password and domain name; these do not have to be real
3. Once configured you should have another sync source show up on your main AS screen...continue on.
4. Tap the menu soft key again and you should see that the sync schedule option is no longer greyed out.
5. Change your schedule from a timed automatic start of AS to manual under both fields
6. If you try to sync now, AS will try to contact your imaginary exchange server and that will take forever until it times out, so you can now delete the exchange server from your list of sync sources. Your changes to the sync schedule will remain and will survive soft resets too.

In PC
In the above-shown Task Manager, kill the process named as wcescomm.exe.

Then, when you want to restart ActiveSync, just click Microsoft ActiveSync to restart it.

Trip to Thailand : Day 6 (Haadyai back to Penang)

Day 6 (23 September)

Location : Koh Samui to Haadyai

The next day, we go eat Dim Sum as breakfast. Then, we wait until 12pm for buffet in Sky Restaurant. It cost 149baht. Not too expensive. Not too many variety but we're sure full. The Sky Restaurant is cool. Can look at the whole Haadyai town. After the buffet, we got back to hotel and start to take our luggage and go to Market. We decide to buy our souvenier in Market. Upon reaching the market with Tuk Tuk, we realised the market is mostly closed for that one day of the year. OMG... so we just decided to leave straight to Penang.

We bid farewell to our comrade and walk towards van that will take us to Thailand border. At the Thailand border, we go for an oil massage. The girl who massage for me said I got a very fair skin. Then I said I wanna be Ah Gua liao...haha... after massage, we walk to Malaysia border from Thai border. Everything is smooth. We got in Dino's car and ride back to Penang Island... and the trip ended.... its a very enjoyable and crazy trip...at least for me...haha...

Trip to Thailand : Day 5 (Koh Samui to Haadyai)

Day 5 (22 September)
Location : Koh Samui to Haadyai

Time to say goodbye to beautiful place. I got my forehead burn without recognition but I'm very satisfied that we do what we did yesterday. Riding a motorcycle is definitely dangerous. But I glad we did it without any incident. Early morning we return the bike and take a van to a pier. There, a bus waiting for us to board. We did and the bus take us to a ferry terminal. This is different from the one we came. The bus also go along with us. To cut story short, we reach Surat Thani with this bus. We took our lunch in a restaurant that have connection with the bus. So we got chopped. The orange water cost us 60baht which supposed to be 30baht or less. There after, we got on a van and the van drive us to Haadyai.

This journey is probably the least enjoyed because of the small van and stuff air cond. But we do enjoy our company of friends. Reaching Haadyai, the time is around 7pm and we arrive at Carrefour. Tuk Tuk took us to a Chinese restaurant. We saw an elephant there. We ate Thai dinner again. Upon reaching downtown Haadyai with Tuk Tuk, we stayed in Grand Plaza Hotel. 4 people in a room for one night. Aeroplane and Jane will be staying 2 extra night. After bathing, we got on our feet and headed down to see some souveniers.

After a while, we decided not to get anything and we sit down and enjoyed some desserts. I got myself a bird nest for 100baht. I wonder if its real...Later, we walk around and reach Pink Lady Complex. I saw some girls in big aquarium. Its kinda eye opening for me. Haha... We got away from there and then go to hotel and sleep.

Trip to Thailand : Day 4 (Koh Samui)

Day 4 (21 September)

Location : Koh Samui

Forth day is the first and final full day in Koh Samui. I admit that our trip is kinda rush. We got everything planned to do everything in one day. Our mode of transport will be motorcycle. PBS will be my pillion rider. I long time didn't ride a motorbike. I really got scared and hope that I will not screw up and get us both killed.

We start around 9am. Go around island. First we stop nearby a seaside and looking at a fastastic seaview. Next we go to a sandy beach. After the sandy beach, we stop at a resort where we can ride an elephant or ATV vehicle. But we decided otherwise because its too expensive. While going to Big Buddha, we stopped by a pier and bought shaved ice to eat. Its different from Ais Kacang we had in Malaysia where this is very sweet taste with variety of choice like apple, orange, etc. I got myself a pineapple. It has bread in it too with some attap chee (palm seed). Not bad for a hot day.

We arrived at Big Buddha around noon and take some photos. I got myself a Fortune Prediction Stick. Actually its not really a stick. Its now modernized using a electronic Wheel Of Fortune instead. So high tech. I got number 7 which is quite a good fortune. I'm glad...

Next, we ate lunch by the road side shop. I hate a dry tomyam if I'm not mistaken that's what they called. Taste good. Later, we decide to go Waterfall. Halfway, we stop at a shop selling gigantic robot (made with recycled material). Most of them looks like Alien vs Predator. Finally we reached the Waterfall. I paid money to go to the rest room first but the old man seems like he said I didn't pay. But my friend go and talk to him. Seems like he only accept single 5Baht coin and does not recognize 1+2+2 baht.

Anyway, we proceed up the Waterfall. We hear no rushing water and thing there might be no waterfall nearby. Climb 1/5 up, we saw a European and his girl friend climbing down and said they give up. So Aeroplane said he want to give up too. But others don't want. So we decided that Dino go up first. But I catch up with him and found a sign that says 5000m more. That's crazy. Upon seeing that sign, everyone feeling like giving up. But Jane skeptical that it is 5000m. It might be 500m. So again, me and Dino go up a little bit and finally saw a sign saying 300m. Some people just want to play around with signboard....wt..

Anyway, cut short story, we reached the waterfall finally. Not really a huge waterfall. Except me, I think everyone got into the waterfall water having a splashing time. But soon, we need to leave because we have one more place to go that is Grandma Grandpa stone. Haha...you'll see what it meant later...

And so, we're going to a long ride to the Hinta Hinyai. Not really a long ride. The longest ride is when we go to the water fall. Actually halfway to waterfall, we try to get to the three headed coconut tree. But it was burned down. Anyway, before we reached Hinta Hinyai, we drop by a pier and drank soya milk with some fruit cocktails. Another weird creation by the Thais. And its very cheap at 10baht. I love it very much. Only served hot.

Soon, we arrived at Hinta Hinyai....almost sunset. We quickly set off to the seaside. We need to climb some stones only reached the place. Of course we saw the Grandpa first. After asking around, we finally see the Grandma. Haha.... look at the pic and guess what it is. After watching the sun set, we go back hotel, take bath and go to get our ticket back home. That's fast right?

But the process of getting the ticket back home cost us few hours because we keep on asking here and there. We only manage to eat our dinner around 10~11pm T_T.... We took our dinner in Chaweng. We realised the place is a bit commercialized and not as nice as Lamai. We ate our deserved dinner soon. It's the most expensive dinner we ate during the trip. It has big prawn and stuff.

After eating the dinner, we walkaround that area. Its getting late. So not many customer and some already close shop. I bought a pancake (but its actually roti canai with chocolate). Its really sweet but taste good if we're not too full from the dinner. Haha...Soon, we left the place and stop by a hilly area and snap some photo. Then, we reached a pasar malam that is only visited by local people. Nice. At least we go somewhere tourist did not go before. Then we use short cut and reach our hotel again. We call it a night........

Trip to Thailand : Day 3 (Travelling to Koh Samui)

Day 3 (20 September)

Location : Surat Thani to Koh Samui

We travel from Surat Thani town to Koh Samui by van (while stopping at Khami Cave). Reached ferry terminal around noon where we bought the ticket rightaway. Not many people in the terminal. We also took our lunch here. Around 40baht for a noodle or 80baht for western food. Not bad for a tourist area compare to Malaysia. Malaysia sure chopped you one...

I've been having sorethroat since the first day. After eating lunch, I bought another drink which is Malee coconut in a tin. Quite nice... around 15baht... Ferry arrived soon after and we board it with Malaysian style...trying to be the first in the queue...

Soon after, we got into the ferry. We realised that the reason people want to get in faster is to get the air cond area. Well, we get in earlier and got ourselves a place with air cond. There's a stall selling food and drink. A lot of people got themselves a noodle in a cup. I got myself a coffee drink in a tin which is quite nice.

After 2~3 hours, we finally berth on the Koh Samui. The island beautiful. Not much development yet compare to Penang Island. But more than Redang. Its because Redang is way smaller than Koh Samui. Koh Samui I think is quarter size of Penang or smaller...not sure though...

Then after finding a few Tuk Tuk, we got to a Tuk Tuk which only charge us 70baht per person to go to Lamai. Others is charging 100baht. I think a taxi charging around 1000baht per trip. Can't confirm that though...

Reached Lamai place soon after. We got into a hotel and see the room. Seems like a cozy room to me. But our gang said the double bed is too small for 2 person. So we split into 2 team to find a more cheaper and suitable hotel room. Me and PBS got to a direction of a hotel which we eventually stayed. It cost 1500baht per 2 night. There's 1 single bed (on the floor) and 2 double bed. It is extremely cheap.

After we checked in, we took our bath and proceed to take our dinner. We skipped all the shop and instead went to a night market of some sort. The food is cheap. Really worth the money. Also, we had the fruit shake for for 20baht. Very cheap. I got 2 cup (coconut and mango). Its a very fulfilling dinner.

Later, we walk along the road. A lot of massager asking us to massage. I feel welcomed there..haha.. but I think its because its a very low period. Not many customer. Not many Guai Lo there. Jane said she want to watch Ah Gua which we obey. It will be start around 10pm. So we continue strolling first. Aeroplane said he want to buy shoes which he did got it together with t-shirt (with outrageous drawing).

Later, we stop over a telephone shop. Aeroplane decide he want to buy a telephone card to call Tae (the Thai girl that we met in bus at Haadyai).

At the Ah Gua restaurant, we need to buy some drinks. I got myself a Pina Collada (some pine apple punch). Taste quite nice. Soon, the Ah Gua show started and I took video most of the show. During the show Finale, Aeroplane was kissed by the Ah Gua. Hehe...

Soon after, we parted and our gang go to seaside. We having fun watching Hong Ming light and fireworks. PBS was talking to the Hong Ming light seller. The seller talk about her daughter which is 17 years old. Wow, I think people in Thailand are really friendly. Haha... later we got crazy and take crazy photos...

Trip to Thailand : Day 3 (Breakfast and Caving (Khamin Cave) in Surat Thani

Day 3 (20 September)

Location : Surat Thani

On the third day, we woke up fresh around 8am and went to take our breakfast in local dim sum shop. The food does not look like our Malaysian/Hong Kong dim sum at all. It looks more like steamboat where you pick your delicacy from a frozen ice area and ask them to make it hot for you. The taste is ok. Smaller portion, something like the Ipoh dim sum. Chee Cheong Fun looks weird.

After our breakfast, we actually plan to go see temple. But one of our gang want to go to caving. We all tempted to follow him since someone mentioned there's a lot of temple in Koh Samui (in the end of the trip, we did not enter any temple at all except the Big Buddha in Koh Samui). Here, things get interesting. We never expect to go cave in Thailand. And so, we went in and find it quite interesting to have such a big cave. It's some kind of mining cave.

Only after caving, we go to the pier to take ferry to Koh Samui....

Trip to Thailand : Day 2 (Part 1 : Hotel & Night Market)

Day 2 (19 September)

Location : Haadyai to Surat Thani (bus travelling)

Started to take bus to Thailand. Saw a local lady who sit in the bus and some of our gang member decided to talk to her. The journey is quite long. At least 4~5 hours due to multiple stop to pick up new passenger. Its really tiring especially for the 3 person who just arrived from KL this morning to join us (only two of us from Penang).

Around evening, where the sky already darken, we reached Surat Thani and took a Tuk Tuk to hotel. Its a budget hotel (Not sure what is the name?). After taking shower, we proceed to take our dinner in some night market. I need to find out the name of the market. There's a new shopping mall nearby call Coliseum which opened only this year (2009). I took a porridge which is very good.

Start to travel from Penang (Megamall) around 8pm.

After waking up, we ate breakfast in hotel consist of toast, bacon and egg. And mind you, its not buffet. Breakfast already priced into the hotel stay. Normally the price is 485baht. But if you can get discount from travel agent if you buy from them. The price is 400baht but without breakfast for 2.

Later, we met up with 3 friends from KL. We took a Tuk Tuk to downtown Haadyai to get our lunch and transportation to Surat Thani. Actually we plan to drive a car ourselves to Surat Thani. Unfortunately, we can't find the place to rent a car for good price (around 1800baht which is reference from internet). We're told we need to pay 3500baht a day including driver. We decided to take bus instead.

E-P1 is godsend. A review after a 5 day trip

I was a few months Canon 40D user and later sold it off due to big size. I never use it for a trip. I don't think its for anyone who want to travel light anyway. And so, I was waiting for the ultimate Point and Shoot. Of course, anyone who looking for a camera will not overlook LX3 which is being raved about anywhere. In Malaysia, the price stay at RM1600 even after almost one year of launch. My friend Soo Sean must be glad that she bought it at the same price and and never drop since. Such happening are rare in Point & Shoot camera as electronic stuff always drop price (ever since Fuji F31fd).

Anyway, my eyes have set on Olympus E-P1 since the day of launch. I caught my eyes with its pleasing retro design. I especially mesmerized with its white color body. Since its launch in Malaysia, I only see Silver body. After two months of launching, and coincide with my trip to Thailand, I rush to buy one for the trip. I decided on the single lens because I'm waiting for Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens. (by the way, I did consider G1 but it has no video recording. As for GF1, I can't wait any longer for it to launch. Further more, I'm more interested in IBIS).

To my surprise, the camera that I order is white body. I'm very excited. I took home and admired its beauty. It looks so good that it can be display piece in a cabinet when its not in used. Coupled with white neck or wrist strap, i-phone, white clothing, I'll be a prince charming in White... lol..

Anyway, I start to shoot with E-P1 on the first day. It's easy to operate. But menu system is quite confusing. I really don't understand what certain menu for unless I go read the manual. Some even I don't understand after reading the manual. Only recently I realise shadow highlight function is called Auto-Degradation. Shooting with kit lens 14-42mm is quite fun. Its quite compact after retracted and macro is quite near. But I still find it quite limited in aperture and zoom.

Then when new firmware is release, I try to upgrade it. But unfortunately, the upgrade failed and I bricked the lens. Rushed to Minolta service center in Penang and they promptly send it to KL to service. Its already Wednesday and two days later on Friday, I need to go Thailand. Without lens, I can't shoot any photo. I go to a camera shop and try out Nikon lens (28mm f/3.5) with adapter. It's fun to use manual focus lens. But I find its heavy and no zoom but the size is same as the kitlens. Not something in my mind.

So I went online to see if anyone selling micro four third lens. Of course I failed to find any shop selling. But using google, I managed to find someone selling the Olympus pancake 17mm f/2.8 lens. I'm very happy to find it and give a call to the person. Yay, finally I'll able to shoot in Thailand. He send it to my friend in KL and my friend will bring it to me to Thailand. To my surprised also, the Minolta call me to say that the KL service center able to fix it and send to me to Penang on Friday. So this trip, I'll be able to use 2 lens.

Review in Thailand

I've tried two lens in Thailand. One is 14-42mm and another is 17mm pancake. For versatility, I vouch for 14-42mm but by not much because the zoom is quite limited. For real versatility, I think I need 14-200mm. But I'm sure the size will be a killer for travel lens.

The real winner in travel lens in 17mm f/2.8 pancake. I slap this to the body and walk around hanging on my neck for 5 days and I did not feel any heft. I totally think that this is the ultimate walk around camera. Then I swapped this to 14-42mm and I find its bulky, clunky and heavy. The other problem with 14-42mm is that I need to extend its lens before shooting. Else, I'll get "Check your lens" message. With 17mm, I just need to turn on the camera and shoot.

Furthermore, I can get professional looking thin DOF with 17mm lens. Since its brighter, taking photo in a cave while I was in Thailand is a big plus. It's really a fate for me getting 17mm since if I did not screw up my kit lens, I will never thought of getting the pancake lens. I shoot a lot of food in Thailand and it come out very nice and bright. My love for 17mm f/2.8 cannot be expressed in word. Its really godsend.

Conclusion:

E-P1 + 17mm f/2.8 is the ultimate traveller lens. I now understand why people can use DP1 and DP2 without complaining even though its fixed focal lens. However, in terms of user friendliness and ability to change lens, I will prefer E-P1. Furthermore, with body stabilizer, I'm very comfortable shooting at arms length. Now I just hope that Olympus will improve AF in low light because I find low light AF still have a lot to improve. And of course, we need more lens especially ultra wide angle prime and tele. Both by Panasonic is quite bulky.

Wireless Broadband review : Part 2 (Digi Explore RM78)

Part 1 (Getting it activated)

Registered DiGi wireless broadband today. A bit PITA waiting for it to activate.
I called them 3 times before able to activate. This is what happened:
a) first call respond - "Wait for a while. I can't do anything. Need to wait for you
for your registration according to when you register" - although I already waited
3 hours
b) second call respond - "Ok, I activate it now. Please wait for 15 minutes". Yeah
rite. After wait 1 hour more, still no activation.
c) third call respond - "Ok, you're giving me wrong Network ID. Its supposed to be
014-337...." - What? After so many call only you tell me I got the wrong ID?

First Verdict: half star (lousy/stupiak customer service)

Part 2 (Experience)

The speed totally owned Celcom. Here is the speedtest:

Summary: Get it while it is still not so congested. This is in USM Penang.

Wireless Broadband review : Part 1 (Celcom D68)

Tested on Sunday around 5.30pm on 13 Sept 2009. Its 384kbps package.

Its terrible download speed. 80kbps only. A quarter of advertised speed.

I'm staying in high density area. Not sure if that make it worse.

First time doing speed test 1 month ago: 300kbps

Once is a blue moon: 150kbps

Most of the time: 60kbps

Also most of the time: 0kbps

Yes, most of the time its 0kbps also. Means I click and it does not go the

website. Instead, I get offline message (but I'm still connected).

Verdict: half star (Do not subscribe)

Summary: Only use if there's no other broadband in your area. You'll be kicking

yourself for subscribing to this broadband. Totally ridiculous speed compare to

advertised (hey, 384kbps is ok for me but not 0kbps).

BN keep on given us reason not to vote for BN

For the past, we already know BN and especially UMNO are using racism tactic to gain support. But they failed miserably in 30 March, 2008. Since then, BN still does not learn from mistake and more and more reason being given to us not to vote for them.

Yesterday, a group of extremist threaten to bloodshed over Hindu temple. I do not name their religion and their race because that would make their religion and race looks bad. Unfortuntely, they are actually doing that, a disservice to their race and religion. There's actually stupid people among us in Malaysia... lol'ed...

Anyway, since the Hindu people normally intelligent, they don't do anything drastic to avenged the incident that ridiculed their religion. I would like to congratulate the Hindu in Malaysia for being more advance in their thinking when others are still in Jahiliah era...

And to think that this Monday is National Day really make this provocative demonstration a disservice to 1Malaysia motto by Najib. But I would like to thank this group of people that accelerate the demise of BN. Thanks again.

Proper procedure to install air-cond?

Anyway do take note of the following when your aircon tech comes to install your aircon.

I have noticed a lot of aircon techs didn't do a good job. They should at least vacuum pump the refrigerant lines + each fan coil unit and check for leaks before releasing the refrigerant. Without doing the vacuum pump evacuation, the moisture in the air will contaminate the system and the compressor will not function efficiently. It will also lead to premature wear and tear. The vacuum evacuation process should last at least 30 minutes for a thorough moisture and air evacuation.

On the other hand, a lot of technicians tried to save materials costs by using thinner copper tubings, brazing it with soft solder. The thinner tubings will cause more flow resistance and thus wasting the power. Thinner tubings also have the potential to starve the compressor of refrigerant and lubrication, leading to overheating and premature wear and tear.

Make sure they use at least a 80 core cable (not the very thin type) when wiring up the system. They should connect the aircon to a dedicated circuit breaker, not sharing it with other power plugs or lightings.

The temperature of the system should be measured after it has been running for at least 15 minutes in cooling mode with high fan speed and lowest temperature setting. Measure the temperature on the fan coil air intake and air outtake. The temperature difference should be at least 8 deg.C for Panasonic models. Different models come with different specifications.

Make sure your aircon tech does the above - otherwise they're not doing a good job. Another thing, offer the aircon tech a cold drink. This will give them some motivation for a good job.

Everyone needs a scanner in their home

Bills, receipts, brochures, etc have been taking up a lot of space in my home. I've been thinking of getting rid of those stuff but scared if somedays, I might need those info/doc. The only way to solve this is digital documentation. But the Umax 2000 scanner which I've been using for past 10 years is really "pita" in terms of speed. Turn it on and scan a document takes few minutes. It'll be a uphill task to scan > 10 years worth of documents.

After researching for the best scanner, I've shortlisted to:

Fujitsu Scansnap 300 (RM1000 and above)

But its a problem to find the scanner and see how it performed.

Further research bring me to Canon Canoscan LiDE 600f and CS 8800f. 600F is small (newer version 700f have higher resolution) and can scan vertically (save desktop space). 8800f is bigger and must be lay flat on the surface to scan. Different is 600f use CIS while 8800f is using CCD. CIS only can scan stuff near the glass. Anything further away from the glass, it'll be blur/out of focus.

While wondering which one is the best, I also come to learn that LiDE 200 is also comparable to 600f. Price for 600f is RM638 while 8800f is RM725 in Penang.

Over the last weekend, I've gone out to check computer shops in Penang and to try out certain scanner. First scanner I manage to test is LiDE 70. I'm very happy to see such an improvement in scanning speed. It's so blazingly fast. This is tested in SenHeng store in Sunway Carnival in Prai. Price is around RM350. No new stock available. I guess its old model.

Then after a few computer shops and contemplating on LiDE 100 also due to cheaper price (RM265), I stumble upon LiDE 90 in GadgetZone. After comparing spec, (14second to scan A4 size compare to 24s for LiDE 100), I'm kinda sold. Price is cheap too (RM275). I was thinking if I need 600f and 8800f to scan film. In the end, I bought the scanner.

When I reached home, I saw the brochure and the retail price is RM498. I feel good getting it cheap. Not sure it'll be cheaper else where. Probably because this is old model. That's why its cheaper.

After set it up and running, I'm shocked by the speed. It manage to scan document and convert to PDF in seconds. And I can search the letter in the PDF document which I anticipated when testing the LiDE 70.

I feel I've should've gotten a scanner earlier. I won't having such a messy documentation. Now, start to digitize all my documents and throw them away... hehehe

About LASEK (Bladeless Surgery)
LASEK (Laser-Assisted Subepithelial Keratectomy) is the most recent procedure to come out, and combines the best characteristics of LASIK (rapid recovery, no pain) and PRK (no cutting, no flap, improved safety).

Dr. Chynn was one of the 1st refractive surgeons in NYC to perform LASEK, as well as one of the first in the New York-TriState area to combine LASEK with CustomVue, for "SuperVision." Here's how LASEK works:

1. THIN CORNEAS--LASEK can safely treat patients with thin corneas, because no flap is made at all, leaving much more tissue available to treat with the laser, and preserving more corneal tissue untouched for greater structural strength after the procedure.

"Studies have been performed, where human eyebank eyes have been treated with either LASIK or LASEK, then cannulated with needle on an air tube, and then pumped up with an specially-designed, extremely accurate air pump until the eye explodes. LASIK eyes exploded at a significantly lower pressure than normal, untreated eyes, which indicates that, even years afterwards, if you get punched in the eye after LASIK, there is a higher chance of a ruptured globe--not good! (Even though I, myself, had LASIK in 1999 up at Harvard.)

"In contrast, post-LASEK eyes withstood the same amount of pressure as the untreated, control eyes, indicating that, for the most part, LASEK eyes are structurally much more sound than LASIK eyes, and statistically as strong as eyes that were never lasered at all!"

2. HIGHER LEVELS OF PRESCRIPTION--for the same reasons as above--because it preserves much more corneal tissue--LASEK can be safely performed on patients with higher levels of prescription than LASIK.

"Let's say you have a high Rx, similar to my Rx before my own LASIK (-7.50 -1.50 x 180, with a spherical equivalent in contacts of -8.25). Let's say that your preoperative corneal pachymetry (measured on each and every patient before surgery at parkavenuelaser.com) was normal, but on the thin side--say 500 microns, or micrometers.

"A LASIK flap, even the thinnest flap you can reliably treat with IntraLase, is 100 microns. Treating myopic astigmatism removes about 12 microns per diopter of treatment, or 8.25 x 12 = 99 microns--let's call it 100 microns for simplicity.

"Starting from 500 microns, you would subtract 100 microns for the flap, and another 100 microns for the laser ablation--leaving you with only 300 microns of untouched corneal tissue, or only 50 microns (one twentieth of a millimeter) above the safe lower limit of 250 microns to prevent corneal ectasia, or iatrogenic keratoconus (KC).

"In contrast, for a LASEK, you would again start with a corneal thickness of 500, but only subtract 100 microns for the ablation, BECAUSE THERE IS NO FLAP. This would leave fully 400 microns of untouched corneal tissue after a LASEK for the same prescription--or 150 microns above the 250 safe limit--or THREE TIMES the amount of extra tissue preserved in LASIK (which was 50 microns in the above example.

"Simply put, LASEK is almost always safer than LASIK, because you are preserving much more corneal tissue in a LASEK compared to a LASIK by definition."

3. LESS DRY EYES--Most patients experience TEMPORARY Dry Eye Syndrome (DES) after any refractive procedure, whether LASIK, LASEK, or PRK. In the majority of cases, these patients actually had some DES symptoms BEFORE their procedure, like dry and uncomfortable contacts, which lead them to having the procedure performed in the first place!

Many studies, including several published in Ophthalmology, the #1 eye journal in the world (Dr. Chynn is on the Peer Review Board of Ophthalmology, to help decide which articles make it to print), have shown less DES after LASEK compared to LASIK, because no flap is made, so less corneal nerves are cut and need to regrow after the procedure to restart the normal blink reflex.

Dr. Chynn is one of the most experienced surgeons in NYC in treating and preventing these DES symptoms in his LASIK and LASEK patients--probably because he was the 1st LASIK surgeon in NYC to have LASIK himself, so understood personally what dry eyes feel like!

"I test all my patients for DES before their surgery. If I note significant preoperative superficial punctate keratopathy (SPK), I'll perform a painless Schirmer Type II tear test to document and quantify the amount of tear film deficiency.

"100% of my patients are told to begin PRESERVATIVE FREE artificial tears a MINIMUM of 4x/day before even their Free Consultation with me, and then to continue this regime until and well past their surgery to prevent, minimize, or eliminate DES symptoms.

"They are also told to perform Lid Hygiene with commercially available Lid Scrubs, which are available Over The Counter (OTC) at any pharmacy, twice a day. This improved meibomian gland function and secretions, to add the necessary layer of oil that is normally present in tear film to help prevent excess evaporation and to smooth out the surface.

"Patients are also told to increase their water consumption, and to decrease their intake of all substances that dehydrate, such as caffeine, alcohol, and antihistamines prior to their surgery and into their immediate postop. period, to promote better wound healing.

"In severe cases of meibomitis, or meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), doxycycline, a very mild antibiotic, is prescribed orally. This is not used for its antibiotic properties, but to improve the quality of the meibomian secretions, making them thinner and more like liquid, so they are secreted more normally, rather than being the consistency of a wax and clogging up the meibomian gland pores. Fish liver oil, or TheraTears nutritional caplets, are also prescribed in these cases, for the same reason.

"Patients with DES either before or after surgery are usually treated with dissolvable collagen punctal plugs, which I insert at the Slit Lamp in the exam room, in a totally painless procedure that takes 10 seconds. These go in the tiny hole in the corner of your eyelid near your nose, to partially block the OUTFLOW of your tears from your eye, like plugging up a sink with a stopper, to keep the tears in your eyes longer for reduced DES symptoms.

"In a minority of cases, for people with severe preop. or postop. DES, I will then insert semi-permanent silicone punctal plugs, and keep them in for months until symptoms go away.

"All honest refractive surgeons will admit to their patients that they will be dry for a few weeks after LASEK or a few months after LASIK--I was myself. The important thing is to know how to diagnose and treat this condition appropriately so it doesn't prevent them from enjoying their new vision and new eyes after their procedure."

4. NO CHANCE OF AN INTRAOPERATIVE FLAP COMPLICATION--The most common serious complication in LASIK is an intraoperative flap complication, which occurs in about 1 in 1000 cases, no matter what type of keratome is used, whether bladed (e.g., Bausch & Lomb's Hansatome, the #1 keratome in the world in terms of # of eyes performed on it) or laser (i.e., IntraLase). Common flap complications in the OR include partial flaps, irregular flaps, "button-hole" flaps, and total (amputated) flaps--all of which can cause PERMANENT visual problems.

In contrast, with LASEK, there is NO FLAP AT ALL BEING MADE, so there can be NO FLAP COMPLICATIONS. Even IntraLase has been reported in dozens of published articles to have flap complications, because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ELIMINATE FLAP COMPLICATIONS UNLESS YOU ELIMINATE THE FLAP ITSELF. In fact, it is a "dirty little secret" of IntraLase marketing (they are listed on the NASDQ stock exchange and went IPO in 2004) that the flaps are being cut with IntraLase--many patients getting IntraLase have either been told incorrectly, or left to incorrectly assume that there is no cutting and no flap in an IntraLase LASIK.

"I think it is highly unethical that many surgeons and IntraLase representatives are hiding from the public that the "all laser" IntraLase LASIK procedure is still a cutting procedure, with a flap, and all potential flap complications as a normal mechanical microkeratome LASIK. Indeed, not once on the IntraLase website is this clearly stated to the consumer--and for good reason

"I would have no problem with the people using and selling IntraLase if they told potential patients that they were still having their eyes cut, only with a laser instead of a blade, so they could still have intraoperative and postoperative flap complications.

"In fact, there is a peculiar (bad) clinical syndrome UNIQUE to IntraLase LASIK procedures that never has been reported to occur with a standard microkeratome, involving persistent, severe photophobia (light sensitivity) that can last weeks to MONTHS. IntraLase was forced to report this to FDA, and it has been published in many medical journals. However, the only thing the IntraLase people will ever discuss are its advantages over standard LASIK--leaving out its unique DISADVANTAGES.

"I was featured on CBS News TV in NYC as having the most ethical LASIK center in NYC, because others were caught on 'hidden camera' saying things to customers that were not true.

"I may be blunt, I could maybe be more tactful at times, but nobody has ever accused me of being less than straightforward with my patients--which is maybe why I have never been sued!"

5. NO CHANCE OF A PATIENT-INDUCED FLAP COMPLICATION--Patients who are nervous, "blinkers," "squeezers," those who have never worn contacts before so are not used to things near or in their eyes, those who are afraid of "getting cut" in the OR, those with a strong blink reflex, and those with deep set eyes or small palpebral fissures (like some Asian patients) are not good candidates for LASIK, as they can squeeze during the cutting portion of the procedure and cause an intraoperative flap complication (like those listed above in #4).

"I had an attempted LASIK by Dr. Chynn in 2002, and squeezed my eye right as the keratome pass was made. I am a big guy, over 200 lbs., so this squeezing prevented the keratome from making a full pass, despite the speculum that was placed in my eye, so I wound up with an incomplete flap.

"Dr. Chynn immediately recognized this complication, and aborted the laser portion of the procedure, and replaced my incomplete flap perfectly in the right position, then let it heal with a bandage contact lens for a week, and fully for several months. He never panicked, and reassured me that, because of his Corneal Fellowship, he could handle this complication fine.

"After the incomplete flap was fully healed, he performed another LASIK on my same eye, using a different microkeratome to produce a thicker flap, so the flap edge would be in a different plane than the other incomplete flap. This was successful, and the laser portion of the procedure was performed, using CustomVue WaveFront to compensate for the irregularities induced by my first, incomplete flap.

"Using this advanced technique, Dr. Chynn was able to restore my vision, which now, years afterwards is BETTER than 20/20 in that eye--really, a remarkable "save" by him!

"Of course, for the other eye, we both decided on LASEK, and it went totally smoothly, and my final result in that eye is also 20/15--but without all the drama of the LASIK eye!"

6. NO CHANCE OF FLAP WRINKLES, STRIAE, DEBRIS, or EPITHELIAL INGROWTH--After LASIK, another 1 in 1000 patients has significant problems associated with their flap. Flap wrinkles or striae occur in nearly 1 in 100 patients, but are usually clinically insignificant. However, when they are significant, they can cause visual distortion or double vision. Debris under the flap is also usually insignificant, but rarely is either so big or does not resorb so the flap needs to be re-lifted in the OR and the debris surgically removed. Epithelial in growth can also be a significant problem, sometimes requiring re operation to prevent flap melts.

All of these problems are ELIMINATED with LASEK, because THERE IS NO FLAP!

7. IMPROVED NIGHT VISION--More of the cornea is exposed for treatment than with LASIK, because there is no flap edge, which makes LASEK a better choice for patients who require a larger treatment diameter because of large pupils or higher degrees of correction. Not having to worry about a flap edge is also advantageous in CustomVue WaveFront, as otherwise some of the custom ablation actually goes over the flap bed, and is wasted on the unexposed cornea. This also contributes to better night vision after LASEK compared to LASIK.

"I had a LASEK procedure by Dr. Chynn in 2003, and before was not legal to drive a car, although I often did this without glasses or contacts. After my LASEK, even without CustomVue, I never had any night vision problems--no glare, no 'halos,' nothing at all! I am so glad that I chose LASEK, and recommend this to all of our patients--more than 50% of whom are now seeing better than 20/20 after their LASEK--just like me!"

8. Advantage over LASIK in CustomVue WaveFront procedures--CustomVue WaveFront involves measuring a patient's eye over literally hundreds of points, and determining exactly what prescription is needed at each individual point--rather than averaging one prescription for the entire eyeball at every point, which is what is done with glasses or contacts.

This means that you can NEVER correct all "higher order aberrations" in a LASIK, because you are producing errors from the surgery itself that are never even measured!

In LASEK, by comparison, NO FLAP IS CREATED, so NO HIGHER ORDER ABBERATIONS ARE INDUCED by making, lifting, or replacing the flap. This is probably why many early studies have shown a trend towards better visual acuities and less higher order aberrations following LASEK as opposed to LASIK.

"I had LASEK in both eyes, and CustomVue in my right (dominant) eye by Dr. Chynn in 2004. I am 20/15 in each eye, and with both eyes open, see 20/10, or twice as well as 20/20 on a good day, and 20/13, or still much better than 20/20 on a 'bad' day!

"After assisting Dr. Chynn close to 1000 procedures, I decided on LASEK instead of LASIK, because I was willing to put up with 2 or 3 days more of discomfort, for better safety and vision in the long run. I am really glad I made this decision, and recommend it to everyone--including 2 of my sisters, both of whom have had LASEK by Dr. Chynn, and both are seeing than 20/20 also afterwards!

10. Ease of Enhancements--Approximately 3% of patients at parkavenuelaser.com need enhancement surgery, or a "touch-up" procedure after their LASIK or LASIK. K-7 or Olympus E-P1

OMG! The Olympus E-P1 is here. And its shockingly beautiful. According some review site, the ISO performance is better than some of the dSLR. I'm really shocked with such performance.

At first, I'm really interested to get K-7. But with Olympus E-P1, I think this is my next camera. Now I can bring my dSLR anywhere I want. K-7 although small, but still not pocketable. But E-P1 is shockingly pocketable.

Conclusion:- This is one hell of a shocking camera.

Reminder to myself : Buy when its not hot. Sell when its hot.

Chrome might be the best browser today

I might be slow in catching up with technology these days. Chrome has been released long time ago. But I don't have the urge to use it. So this morning, my company email which is using googlemail ask me to try out Google Chrome because it'll be faster experience for googlemail. So I just take the plunge.

And what an experience. Everything run so fast. The memory that it used for opening google mail and facebook is around 50MB. While Firefox and IE is 130MB and 160MB respectively.

Conclusion: One helluva browser. Lovin' it.

Registered my first name as username in facebook

Today is the day where Facebook user are asked to create username. I just have to be there first because I need to register my firstname as my username. There's other facebook user with my name for example a school in Sabah is using my name. Luckily the name is still available.

And then, I was thinking, maybe I should register other name too in case I need it in the future. But unfortunately, anyone register after 9th of June are not allowed to get their username. This is genius to prevent username squatter (such as me :P).

Anyway, goodluck to you guys in getting your facebook username.

Reminiscing younger time : Jimmy Lin

One of the singer that I grow up with is Jimmy Lin. I'm not actually fan of Jimmy Lin but somehow, there's one song that caught my attention and that's called Flying Dagger or something like that. It has the flying dagger sound effect. Not sure why I like it. Haha.

Due to this reason, I bought a compilation tape (last time, CD is luxury. As a matter of fact, CD is still luxury right now. But no one buying because we can download). Chinese School in exchange with Equality

Recent article in NEW STRAITS TIMES (government mouthpiece) talk about the irony in Malaysia regarding unity. I quote one of the important points : "Even the most 1Malaysia-minded and progressive friend I know, a Chinese, paused when asked if he would be okay if we were to abolish all Chinese schools."

I know that the ultra-nationalist Malay always retort whether they can take away Chinese education stream whenever the Chinese asked for equality. In my opinion, if the quality of education up to the par of Chinese school and selection/promotion of teacher is according to meritocracy (for example, good teacher will get increment, so on and so forth), why not?

The problem with our education system from primary to university is that all are dominated by one race. We see that our government does not bother to get good academic staff hired in University. Just go around our public university and see. It's very obvious. Hey, its the same with our public service sector.

So when the BIG question whether I'll accept equality with the condition of single national school, hell yeah. Just bring equality to everywhere including our education system. I do think having all kids mixed in single school system will encourage early integration. Plus equality all around, I'm sure there's no more suspicion between us. After all, we are all Malaysian. We all born here. This is the place I intend to die too.

Here, you'll get all sorts of information from communist side of the story. As we know, history is written by victor. Our history might change again if our government change. Illegal Assembly

One of the amusing laws that Malaysia have is any grouping of three people can be deemed an illegal assembly. Thus we see a lot of government dissenters got hauled up to jail ever since the watershed 2008 General Election. Sikit-sikit also got kena tangkap. Even the lawyers who want to see their client was hauled up at the police station entrance. I mean, come on. Its the police station for god sake.

Erm, I wonder if the police going to pick me up if I go out with two friends. No wonder crime are increasing. Police got no time to catch criminal because they need to pick up people who do peaceful illegal assembly. Facepalm...

Pentax K-7 hold my attention

Sometimes, once a while, a product will caught my attention. This time is Pentax K-7. Although I'm no fan of Pentax (as a matter of fact, I'm brand agnostic ;) ), but I always think Pentax hit the right price with the right technology. I definitely like the Shake Reduction system not offered by Canikon brand. And K20d is the first time I see dSLR have lens calibration system built in. Another great thing about Pentax which you cannot find in other brand at such price is the weather resistance body and lens. You can only buy weather resistance Canikon dSLR system at cut throat price.

Now about K-7. It said that the noise is reduce and higher frame rate (5.3fps). Now this address the shortfall of K20d (although K20d itself is very capable). Also one of the bad things about Pentax is the autofocus speed. I wonder how K-7 AF performance like? But the thing I love most is the size. Look at this comparison:
So cute compare to D300 at the above. Yummy, is all I can say...

Peaceful May 13th

As expected, nothing happened in May 13th. Malaysia is full of people borned after 13 May 1969. Many have no recollection of what happened during that time. As a matter of fact, only certain area is hit with racial clash. So its not really a national crisis as being publicized. Everyone hope that the ghost of 13th May will be forever exorcised. Maybe we should denote today as Unity Day (Hari Perpaduan). There's no more suitable date than this one. Instead of running away, we should face it head on. That way, we can move forward. Of course, our leader also must be more Malaysian instead of just helping certain race. Instead, all Malaysian irregardless of race must be treated equally. Hopefully the day is not too far. I remember that it was just a silly dream before March 8th, 2008. But after the watershed election, it has become some sort like Martin Luther's dream which has high possibility to become true.

By the way, guess who is our equivalent political leader of the left and right side of the comic above?

Think and obsess too much leads to insanity

Just finished watching Flash of Genius. This is a story about Robert Kearnes who is the inventor of intermittent wiper where his patent was infringed by Ford, Chrysler and basically every car manufacturer out there.

He showed his invention to Ford and was praised for able to design something that they failed to come out with for so long. Somehow they enter into talk and some agreement was made in non-legal binding status. However, Ford decided to abandon the deal and Bob was left in the lurch.

Few years later, Ford come out with intermittent wiper and Bob was furious. He is now up against a giant company who infringed on his pattern. Because of the difficulties to prove his case, he think a lot and later diagnosed to having some mental problem. That's why, if there's no way we can solve a certain issue, we must not forced to think too much. Else, we'll get a lot of white hairs and probably will lose our mind.

Anyway, in the end, he won litigation against Ford and Chrysler. He passed away in 2005 while still holding grudges which is highlighted in this news of his death:
In his final years, he drove around in two aging vehicles: a 1978 Ford pickup and a 1965 Chrysler. Neither had intermittent wipers.

13th of May Significance to the Perak crisis

Everyone is talking about May 13th and its significance to the Perak crisis. From May 10th judge ruling on proclamation of Nizar as the rightful MB of Perak, the crisis is reaching a transition point. And May 13th being too close to comfort of a date to everyone comfort and so it is definitely being talked about. But personally, I don't think anything will happened on 13th of May. There's few reasons:
a) the opposition now has a de facto leader who is a Malay
b) Islamic party is part of the strong opposition coalition
c) people are now more cautious to do any sensitive demonstration
d) BN has too much to lose in economics/business if something like 13th of May happened
e) everyone is connected and its hard to contain any fallout from the incident. The world is watching too

So there's no possibility of incident like 13th of May is going to happen at all.

BN is in full damage control

After declared as rightful MB

The political fallout from Perak crisis hit BN badly. The image is severely dented that one day after the fiasco, there's immediate release of ISA detainee which includes the HINDRAF trio that has been a notorious group to BN. The Perak crisis not only posed credibility problem to BN, but has effectively "confirmed" that there's overlapping power between executive and judiciary.

That's why today, we notice the full swing of damage control in judiciary by ruling that Nizar as legitimate MB for Perak. Although this might not cement the power of Pakatan Rakyat in Perak, this might give chance for PR to hold a new election for new mandate. And for BN, this will pacify some anger Malaysian although we won't see the shifting of voting pattern until BN really does more. Majority Malaysian still does not believe the sincerity of BN.

Let's see how the Perak crisis goes with this ruling. We'll have more shows ahead of us.

Najib: We will appeal against decision
From the headline, it seems like the judge decision has nothing to do with BN. But to me, it looks like there's a separation of power between executive and judicial. But whether this is a true changing faces of our judiciary or one off thing, we never know. This is because of previous judges ruling is not really impartial. But overall, this looks good on BN and Malaysia judiciary.

Does BN knows that they are in deep shit now?

Just read all online news portal that can be commented and also forum (except blog by politician themselves). You can see > 90% of the comment is against BN. Can't they realise how bad is BN image to the majority of the citizen?

For me, I think they do know. Although some said that BN still in their own world, but I do think they know how bad it is. If not why they start to do some damage control after the Perak crisis?

Even a lot of people said that before March 08, 2008 that BN is out of touch with people, they are actually not. I still remember I receive snail mail from then Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi asking me to vote for Barisan Nasional. I laugh at the letters man. And of course, how can we forget advertisement from MCA? Its on the TV all the time until I want to puke when they show the person they help. I mean, we as citizen deserve all this. We deserve school to be built. Please don't think that we're obliged to vote for you because you give us education etc.

That's why I hope that there's some changes in BN. I don't want all people supporting Pakatan Rakyat because during that time, PR will be too strong. And power corrupt. We deserve a strong two party system. Get rid of warlord from every component party in BN. You only have 3 or 4 years. Not much time left.

Although I'm lying to say I totally no regret in selling my Canon 40D when in reality, I do a bit, but I'm really waiting for Olympus micro four third with IS. Even without IS, I might still go for it and the reason is the size. What's the point of having a good camera is I can't put in my pocket and bring it around ya? But probably my first priority is to get a good phone with a camera. Until today, I'm still contemplating Nokia N82. But its already too outdated. But still the camera the best. Sigh...

And here is the dSLR that I'll be waiting for..... Olympus Micro Four Third.

Government release Hindraf trio to pacify rakyat's emotion

The Malaysian Insider carry a news item regarding the release of Hindraf trio. It seems like this news is to mitigate anger of rakyat towards government of the day due to Perak constitutional crisis. As in my previous blog, I think that majority of Malaysian already seen what happened in Perak. I would say the news of ISA release is to do damage control and get Malaysian mind off the current happenening in Perak.

Although this is good news for everyone, but unfortunately, the Perak crisis are not easily cooled down. No amount of good will from BN will able to undo the damage from the crisis. Its really kind of hopeless. The clock is ticking. Najib has to do something more. Operasi Lallang will not work now.
