Two types of Chinese in Malaysia

Yesterday, the Star newspaper ran Wong Chun Wai article saying that Chinese population in Malaysia can be categorize into two which is Chinese educated and another one is English/Malay educated. It is said that English/Malay educated (or banana man) only accounted for 15% of whole Chinese population in Malaysia.

Chinese educated Chinese (sound weird right?) are typically business man and only care about if the environment is conducive for business. If not, then they'll start to complain. English/Malay educated Chinese are more gear towards current political affairs and goverment policies and thus they always voice out their concern through internet and everywhere. Currently a lot of them goes online. If you're online too, you'll feel, OMFG, all Chinese are pissed of with BN government when in the real world, only 15% of the Chinese are complaining (I'm in the minority group).

But still, the article conclude that eventhough these group are different, but there's one thing that both group have similarities. That is Chinese does want fairness in everything that government does. And this has not happened yet.

Anyway, I'm questioning the facts of this article. For one thing, based on certain website and my friend, there are Chinese educated people who are very critical too as we can see from merdekareview.com website. And no doubt, some of my friend who are Chinese couldn't care less about what happened. And some said that people who does care means they are too free and read too much malaysiakini, jeffooi.com and blog.limkitsiang.com....

I just hope Chinese are united in fighting their rights. They should organize some peaceful demonstration such as the one organize by the Indian in Putrajaya lately...
